Who am I?

About me

I started my career in 2018 at IBW El Salvador, where I maintained and modernized a CRM and other business systems, migrating modules to Laravel with a Vue.js front end and handling databases and server deployments. In 2021 I joined the Ministry of Health, where I built the front-end and back-end starter templates that set the team's architecture standard, worked on national platforms like the digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate, and then led a team of 10 developers.

Since then I've worked remotely with international teams, building e-commerce and booking platforms with React, Next.js, GraphQL, and Node.js. Today I'm a Senior Developer at TELUS, where I maintain more than 16 repositories across the Buy flow of a large e-commerce platform, working with Next.js applications, Micro Frontends, and Backend-for-Frontend services. I also help the team improve code health and write technical documents to align everyone before implementation starts.

My toolbox is broad: React, Vue 3, Nuxt.js, and Next.js on the front end, and Node.js with Express, NestJS, AdonisJS, and Laravel on the back end. I'm comfortable with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, and Redis, using Prisma, Sequelize, and Mongoose. I care about clean architecture, shared standards, and code that other people can build on.
